Poster for a recent Brown Bag Lecture Series event at Joliet Junior College. Each album cover represents one of the songs on the “Filthy 15,” a list of songs that were singled out during the nascent days of the Parents Music Resource Center.
These are the front and back of a sign created for Joliet Junior College’s Cyber Cafe. Given the name of the computer lab, where students are allowed to play games, nostalgia seemed like a much better option than a more modern look. So the front is inspired by various aspects of Mega Man title screens, while the back is more akin to the game over screens of an arcade game like Final Fight. I ended up using the Mosaic filter to de-res much of the content, but might go for a cleaner look in a program like Hexels for the fall semester version.
In honor of The Basketball Jones' upcoming 1000th episode of the podcast, here's my version of an oft-requested T-shirt design honoring the weekly “Pun Gun” segment of the show. The graphic comes in both a clean and a “grit 'n' grind,” basketball-textured version. Congratulations to all the guys who help make the show possible, and continued success.
